About us
We have been running our guest house here in Portmellon for the last 22 years. We love Portmellon and all it has to offer and we love to share the experience of living here, with our guests. We provide all the facilities and comforts we would wish when we go on holiday or a short break and we take our quality of service extremely seriously.
With that in mind all of our work goes into creating a holiday experience that makes our guests return time and time again. To help and guide us through the very strict quality procedures for our guest house in Cornwall, we have registered with the many Quality in Tourism organisations over the years.

We have just been awarded a 5 Stars (Gold) Guest Accommodation Award for 2023/2024.
We are extremely proud and pleased to not only keep this standard of award for several years, but to have also been given a Gold Award! We have also retained our Breakfast Award for 2023/2024...
"There is so much to admire at Portmellon Cove Guest House, not least of which being the genuine welcome with every effort made to ensure a positive guest experience. The welcome is equally matched by the high quality of accommodation with such an effective fusion of style and practicality. A host of thoughtful extras provided and always much appreciated by guests. Housekeeping exemplary with no issues of any note and close attention to detail in all areas, very much indicative of the conscientious approach which has always been a hallmark here.
A very enjoyable breakfast with plenty of choice and cooked breakfast accurately cooked and flavoursome. The setting is simply superb and gardens a great asset for guests. As a result of this visit, a classification at Five Stars (Gold) is appropriate with Breakfast Award retained (Guest Accommodation)."

AA FIVE STAR GUEST ACCOMMODATION
We have again submitted our guest house in Cornwall to the strict quality audits set by The AA. We have been assessed for our 2020/21 season and have kept our Five Star Rating and achieved The AA Breakfast Award since 2015!

Hotels Combined recognise Portmellon Cove Guest House amongst the best hotels in the United Kingdom. The Recognition of Excellence is not a ranking list but a group of outstanding accommodations chosen based on a strict set of criteria.

TOURISM AWARDS
During 2004 and 2005 we entered the Cornwall Tourism Awards and are very proud to have been finalists for both years.
We have not entered since but now feel it is time to do so again, maybe....
